When you search articles or news on David Post you will often see him called a visionary or serial entrepreneur. And while that is true I would prefer the term dreamer. David saw potential in things others saw as junk by being able to dream about what it could be. Starting in Wall Street and predicting what industries will excel, to starting out on his own and even being a forerunner of cellular adoption. He could dream of a future others could not yet see.

As a child David fantasized about a world called Elysium and Next Island is what came after this world. Next Island is the legacy he left us and in creating this, his dream was for it to become more than even he could dream. He wanted it to be a place where people want to be, where players help guide the story of the island and help create the future.
In losing David, Next Island lost its creator, its father. But he had never intended it to be his alone, it was always meant for all players to enjoy.

While very few players actually knew him or met him, his presence and his legacy remains and we honour him by letting our dreams and our vision become part of this world and to create the future he could only dream about.

Lets follow in his footsteps and dream. And lets make those dreams real.
